I hope you all have had a wonderful Christmas and New Year.

Just want to touch base with you all.

First we won’t have our next assignment until late August or early September for Heidi’s book Must Love Vampire’s which is scheduled to be released in October 2011. She has just finished writing it and will start polishing it soon!! I know I can’t wait!!

Next she will have a book out before then. She has just turned in edits for her June 2011 Silhouette Desire~ Her Little Secret, His Hidden Heir. While we won’t have to do much to promote it, we will still want to get some word out and create a dungeon worthy buzz about it.

Here are somethings you can do to help over the next few months to continue to promote the books that Heidi has out there currently, specifically The Bite Before Christmas.

1. Carry bookmarks with you everywhere! Anytime you see a Heidi book in a book store that doesn’t have a bookmark in it~put one in it! It doesn’t have to be Bite, just put it in any Heidi Bett’s book you find whether it’s a Chicks with Sticks trilogy or her latest Silhouette Desire, Inheriting His Secret Christmas Baby.

2. Don’t forget to add “Good Read” stickers to any of Heidi’s books that you find that don’t have them on there.

3. Turn Heidi’s books cover forward at bookstores. Don’t worry, most stores don’t mind if you do this and there is space. If you think they might mind, introduce yourself to the manager and let them know you loved this book and you think others would too. Ask them if it’s okay to turn the book cover forward. Booksellers want to sell books and and most are more than happy to help promote authors customers recommend.

4. If you haven’t and can…write a review for Amazon, Borders, Barnes & Noble or other bookselling site that allows reviews.

5. Don’t forget libraries!! They love to give out bookmarks. Share a few with them too!

Remember, if you need more~ just ask!! If Heidi has them she will make sure you get more.

Okay, so it may not exactly be the vampires in The Bite Before Christmas, but it will surely put you in the mood for some! And maybe it will be some inspiration for Heidi to bring us some more!!!

Just wanted to give you all a few reminders about where and how to talk up this newest book…..
1. Promotion items. Heidi will be sending out bookmarks to all current and new street team members soon. Please take these to your bookstores, libraries, book groups, work and leave them everywhere!!!!!
2. Do you have a blog? Do a post about The Bite Before Christmas let folks know it’s coming!!!
3. Share your enthusiasm for Heidi’s books on Facebook, My Space, etc!!!!
4. Are you a member of an on-line readers group? Talk the book up there!!

Word of mouth (and the internet) is a great way to get people out to buy the book. Vampires are hot right now (yeah, even the sparkly ones ;-/ ) and more and more people are reading vampires and other paranormals.

Keep your eyes peeled on the HB yahoo group in the coming days for some contests with a couple of ways to win.
